Q. Talk about your company and what Success means to you:
I have several companies…VP of Service for Cold Wall Inc. takes precedence most of the time…it consistently pays the bills. Its an HVAC business located in Orlando Fl. My role is primarily supportive because my husband is the contractor. We offer cooling to commercial businesses and residential customers too…our Specialty is Computer Room Air Conditioning! Success means to me that I’ve broke through norms. Any chance I get to push through what others guaged against me and my peers…I know Im flying! I dont always need to fly though Im perfectly happy roasting on the beach knowimg my family is ok. To sum it up Success means me and my family are healthy and happy while Im kicking through walls!
Q. What is one lesson you’ve learned in your career that you could share?
If I’d have to say the biggest lesson I’ve learned in my career is to be comfortable being uncomfortable! I literally raised my girls with this mantra! It has allowed me to odd person out while others wonder in confusion…As soon as I stopped trying to fit in…I started floating upwards…business requires you to be comfortable calling your own shots and my way hardly looks normal so its very important that Im ok with that.
Q. Have you experienced any challenges as a women in business during your overall career – if so, could you share them?
Challenges…Challenges…challenges…This sort of goes back to being comfortable being uncomfortable, but lets take this one a bit further…In order to stomach any business you learn very quickly to be grateful for the challenges! Right now we have several challenges…Marketing to increase sales is upon us now! With a bootsrap procees in place its…pretty sticky at times…However, challenges are opportunities to utilize appropriate resources to learn, change, thrust into a new position, or all of those at once.
The way I see it…challenges are like skin. We are going to get scraped once and a while. We can either nourished it, or let them infect us. Ive come to accept challenges and be grateful for them. It all culminates to a life so blessed!
As a woman I see my challenges no different than men. While I understand the difference and how it exists in society, I also understand that Great advantages come with being a woman! As a woman I see it as a responsibility to utilize everything ethical within my power to influence….so if I need to smile and nod Im ok with that…but if the situation is out of control Im totally ok with pushing back! I believe we give up our power when we try to equal ourselves to men…Im not a man. But Im a relly good co- man…so when it comes to handling business I accept my role fully as Commander with a smile and a nodd…I can get my way most the time. I really have no issue being a woman in business…I may be at an advantage because my husband is the contractor!
Q. How you manage a good life work balance, if you do...?
I keep routines…Morning prayer journal helps…frequent beach getaways and guilt free drinks if I want it…coffee. tea, margaritas too! Seriously,
just being kind to myself. When Im tired I try to rest. When Im hungry eat…This life is a journey..it helps to be silly! So what!! Sometimes is the best revitalizer!
Q. What is the negative part about being and entrepreneur?

Q. What is your favorite part about being and entrepreneur?
The freedom to create processes. Testing ideas and learning from them. And certainly the feeling of self reliance. Ultimately it is satisfying!
Q. What advice would you give any aspiring female starting a business?
Continued investment of money and time…Although I dont feel like I’m working in a traditional way we cant get our time back. So, it is important to avoid being consumed but it is very difficult becuase Im fully vested. Loss of money isn’t as bad as time…money comes and goes! We can get money back. Time is the most concerning.
